I'd like to play this game, but I can currently only download itch games through the itch app (browser downloads autofail here) and it doesn't recognize the PC download as being compatible with Windows because it's not marked.

The art in this is so beautiful ;_; All the different shades of blues and purples in Re'ala's design are amazing and she has pointy teeth (my weakness). I also love that she blushes blue. It's a great detail.
You chose the perfect music for this as well. It's rich, beautiful and haunting without feeling outright dark which is a great fit for a mermaid romance. Even though this was a super cute story, some darker possibilities are lurking underneath and presumably not every human who falls in love with a mermaid is as lucky as this main character.
I like to think that they founded a mermaid research institute together, or something like that.

And you're onto something about the "not every human gets as lucky" cuz like, technically we don't actually know if everything said is true, or if there actually is a happily ever after. I left it up to the reader to decide, and most ppl have decided it's a happy ending, which is valid! But it's funny that you're the first one to comment on it xD

Short and sweet! The design of the mermaid was very lovely.
This is why I don't like game jams. They are too short, it feels like playing a demo.
It leaves me on a cliff hanger and wanting to know what happens next, wanting more!
